Altoona Pennsylvania Shopping

I had the chance to explore a new area of Pennsylvania and had some mixed results visiting some of the savings shops out there. I stumbled across a small shop that used to have a pop-up garage sale, but I couldn't find thrift in the shop (I later learned it was closed). I was more fortunate here; a shop of goodwill was open and was just a stone's throw from The Salvation Army. When I searched for mattresses in several shops in the area, I discovered a brand new mattress store, which I did not leave happy.

I arrived at 1: 40 a.m. on Saturday, locked the door and the person working in it ignored me (no one called to tell me who I was). I called my fiancé and Leigha left a note asking for a delivery date for the next day at 9.30am. The person in the store said, "I don't know why you told me about the 9 / 4 date, but today no one called for a delivery. Now they only deliver at 9: 15, so my guests sleep in my bed until I call with my note.

Kathy Tyler from Mattress Firm was absolutely fine that I didn't buy today and was happy to help me figure out what I needed, but she still treats me as if it doesn't matter. Other shops put pressure on me, trick me into buying today, and then treat it as if it doesn't matter when they find out I'm still shopping. One store was closed earlier than the indicated hour, another was completely out of service.

I was given a 5 out of 5 rating by the Swallow and was looking for a new mattress before I left. I read a review on Yelp saying it was a really good savings shop, and I'm glad I did.

We are working closely with the mall's staff to ensure that due procedures and protocols are in place and enforced on the property to ensure safe reopening. I got married this weekend and I won't have a mattress to go home to on my honeymoon, so I won't be opening it again at this time.
