If you love old-fashioned greasy spoon diners, you will love Tom and Joe's. The food is great, the portions are huge, and the people are wonderful. The prices are fantastic! PROS: Cheap, huge portions CONS: not near a whole lot

Forget the food at this Altoona institution. Go for the fun of seeing some of Altoona's finest characters! (In reality, the food's not bad.) Breakfasts are best with hand carved ham & eggs at a fair price. The coffee, however, is horrid!…
